This is a recommended programme for those who would like to experience the tropical forest during their holiday but do not have the time to travel too far. You will get a chance to experience Malaysia’s renowned rainforests and yet stay in comfortable surroundings in a natural setting.

Less than an hour’s drive to the outskirt of one of South East Asia’s bustling cities, beyond sleepy Malay villages and amongst pristine tropical rainforest lies a rustic nature lodge.  The Jungle Lodge is located on a little over two hectares of land immediately adjacent to pristine rainforests.  Forest trails enable visitors to explore these ancient forests as well as a waterfall and jungle streams.

  • Learn how to play some of the local games and use traditional hunting implements.

The tropical rainforest of Malaysiahas always been fascinating to the world. This proud heritage of more than 130 million years is the pride of the country to be shared by all and what more better than to be in one that is within reach of Kuala Lumpur“The Garden City” . This program is arranged in such a way that it encompasses an all round view of a rainforest culturally and ecologically.


DAY 01: (-/L/D)

1100hrs: Departs Kuala Lumpurf or a one hour drive to the tropical rainforest of Gombak, check in at the Jungle Lodge Alang Sedayu (simple accommodation with fan & no hot water). Enroute pass through typical villages with its friendly people going about with their daily activities. On arrival your nature guide, an expert on the Malaysian jungle, will welcome you. A local fresh welcome drink will be served. You will be assisted with the registration and will be briefed pertaining your stay at the lodge and its program.

1430hrs: Depart Jungle Lodge on a cycling trip to the aboriginal museum where you’ll get an insight of the life, history and the culture of the Orang Asli (the indigenous people) of West Malaysia. Visit an Orang Asli village whereby you will have the opportunity of meeting and getting to know the people and their lifestyle.

1700hrs: After a tea break your guide will introduce you to various seasonal and non-seasonal fruit trees of Malaysia. (Note: There will opportunity for fruits, tasting fresh from the trees during the fruit season). Learn the game of Congkak, the traditional past time game of the local. Try your talent on the handling of the blowpipe, the aboriginal hunting weapon. Enjoy and experience fresh water fishing with a traditional fishing rod from the Bertam palm.

1900hrs: Barbeque dinner in the tranquil of the evening at the riverside. After dinner, a video show of the Malaysian tropical rainforest will enhance your knowledge of our natural heritage and thereafter take a guided night walk in the darkness of the oldest tropical rainforest in the world. A light supper will be served before you retire for the night in the comfort of the natural surrounding accompanied by the natural sounds of the jungle and its fresh air.

DAY 02: (B/L/-)

0830hrs- 0930hrs: Meal: Breakfast

0930hrs: Briefing from your guide on the preparation for the jungle trekking.

1000hrs: Jungle trekking accompanied by your nature guide. You’ll be introduced to the majesty of the Rainforest with its varieties of plants and trees, some famous for its herbal and medicinal values.

1330hrs- 1430hrs: Meal: Lunch

1500hrs: Check-out and return transfer to KL.

1600hrs: Arrive back in Kuala Lumpur.

Note:  Please travel light by bringing along only the necessity for one night stay. We propose that you leave your heavier luggage at the hotel in Kuala Lumpur and it is also advisable to have comfortable walking shoe, hat or cap, swimming attire, suntan or sun block lotion and spare clothing in case you get wet or dirty.

Note: Accommodation at the jungle lodge is bunk bed dormitory style.
