Tour Code: ET-2A

Depart every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only

DAY 01: Pick up at AM (8:00-9:00) from hotel lobby

This trip begins with hotel pick up and then takes you to central Taiwan to Nantou, where you will make a stop at the famous Sun Moon Lake. Over 100 sq km in size, the lake got its name because the northern part of it has the shape of the sun and then southern part is shaped like a crescent moon. Here you take the lake tour to visit Wen Wu Tmeple, Tehua Village, Tse-En Pagoda and the Holy Monk Shrine. The tour will next take you onto the small town of Puli, in the geographic heart of the island, known as a cultural and artistic heaven. The day will end in Sun Moon Lake with an overnight stay.

Hotel: Del Lago Sun Moon Lake

DAY 02:  Spent largely in the historical and cultural village of Lukang, known as a center for arts and handicrafts, particularly wooden and bamboo items. It is also the nearest port to the cost of mainland China. In earlier years, the city was the site of magnificent homes and temples of uniquely Taiwanese architecture. Some of the structures still exist today, like that of Lung Shan Temple. Bus or train will be boarded back to Taipei City and hotel transfer waiting on arrival.
