KUCHING CITY TOUR:     Discover the charms of this riverine city established by Sir James Brooke, the first White Rajah of Sarawak.  Stop by the Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, Kuching's oldest temple before proceeding to visit the famous Sarawak Museum for a tour of the Ethnology Museum housed in a colonial building reminiscent of a French chateau.  Complete your Kuching experience with a stop at Kuching's riverfront, overlooking the historic Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs.

A 225 km overland journey takes you through countryside dotted with padi fields, pepper gardens and rubber plantations. Enroute visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre. This is the best place in Sarawak to view semi-wild orang utans, who have been rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surroundings of the forest reserves.

Along the way, stop off at the Serian farmers market.  Stop for local lunch before arriving at Batang Ai Boat jetty for transfer to Batang Ai Hilton Resort.

After breakfast , depart for Lemanak jetty for alongboat ride up the Lemanak River to visit a Longhouse. Enjoy traditional dancing, music, and a glass or two of tuak (rice wine) with the longhouse chief. Lunch in Longhouse before transfer back to Kuching via the same route as your arrival.

Pick-up from hotel lobby and transfer to Kuching airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu.  Met upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu.

KOTA KINABALU CITY ORIENTATION TOUR:  Proceed for a City drive by major landmarks such as the State and City mosque, Tg. Aru Beach and the highest building, Tun Mustapha Tower.  Enjoy some leisure time mingling with the local people at the Handicraft market.  Complete your Kota Kinabalu experience with a visit to a local watervillage home.

Option A


Vist the Mountain Garden at the Kinabalu Park and enjoy the cool mountain air as you walk the trails.  Visit the Kundasang War memorial, made up of the Australian, English, Borneo & Contemplation Garden and Pool. Visitors can also opt to view a brief video on the history of the Sandakan Death March   Meals: B, L, D.   Overnight at Kundasang



Visit the Sabah tea Plantation and stop by Kampung Luanti to learn how the villagers are conserving their rivers using the "tagal" system. Option to enjoy a fish massage at the river. Trek through the rainforest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway at Poring Hot Springs.                             Meals: B, L.   Overnight at Le Meridien

NOTE: Tea factory visit is not available on weekends & Pub Hols.  If the Poring Canopy walkway is closed for maintenance,  then will be replaced by Tropical Garden. Visit to nearby Rafflesia plots at their guest's expense if the flower is in bloom


Option B

DAY 6:  CLIMB TO MT. HUT  (3,300m)

Transfer to Kinabalu Park Headquarters for climbing registration before proceeding to Timpohon Gate, starting point of the summit trail. Shelters with water tanks and basic toilet facilities are available at regular intervals along the trail.    Meals: B, BoxL, D              

Overnight at the mountain huts(basic, hostel-type with communal bathrooms; non-heated). 



Depart mountain hut at 3am for final ascend to Low’s Peak – the summit of Mt. Kinabalu. Enjoy spectacular views at sunrise and on a clear day, glimpses of Kota Kinabalu and the South China Sea, in the distance. Descend to Timpohon Gate before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

ISLAND PARADISE: Sun, sea, sand. Take a 15-minute boat ride to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park for a day of some serious relaxation. Swim or snorkel in the blue South China Sea. Or just settle down with a good book.

Transfer out to catch flight to Sandakan.

GOMANTONG CAVES  :  Meet and assist on arrival at Sandakan Airport.  Deport for Gomontong.  Explore Sabah's largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of Bats and swiflets.  The local community here collect the swiflet's nest which are highly prized by the Chinese as a delicacy.  Proceed on by Land KINABATANGAN WETLAND Sanctuary.  Check-in and have some leisure time before embarking on a evening cruise along the Kinabatangan River tributaries  in search for Probsocis Monkey, wild Orang Utan, Asian Pgymy Elephants, colorful Hornbills & other wildlife along the Kinabatangan River - the longest river in Sabah.

NOTE: Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed as the animals are wild however chances are increased as most animals stay close to the river banks as a source of water and settle down for the night by the river


DAY 10

SEPILOK ORANG UTAN : Today  visit Sepilok Center for an opportunity to view the Wildmen of Borneo, the Orang Utan.  Known scientifically as Pongo Pygmaeus, this ape shares up to 96.4% of the human genetic makeup. Watch the orang utans emerge from the forest to be fed by the rangers.  In the afternoon, free at leisure to visit on your own the following places of interest located nearby.


OPTION 1: Sun Bear Conservation Centerlocated about 300 meters from the resort. The sun bear is the smallest, most aboreal and least known of the bear family  measuring between 120–150 cm long and between 60-78 cm high at the shoulder and one of the endangered animals of Borneo.

OPTION 2: Rainforest Discovery Centerlocated about 1500 meters from the resort to do some birdwatcing at the 147 meter Canopy walkway or the Bird Tower which offers a spectacular view of the beautiful rain forest of Sepilok from up to 90 feet (28 metres, 66+ steps) above the forest floor.

In the evening after dinner. Enjoy a Night Walk around the resort conducted by the resort staff on combine basis to listen to the sounds of the night and look out for nocturnal birds or insects.

DAY 11

Transfer out to catch direct flight to Kuala Lumpur  and onwards to home country.
